Who We Are & What We Do
We are a campground located along the beautiful Missouri River where you can watch the rippling water from Snake Creek join into the majestic Missouri. We offer yearly rentals for you to park your camper with full hook ups. We are only .5 miles to the water access at the Snake Creek recreational area boat ramp where some of the best walleye fishing in the state can be found. We are also surrounded by South Dakota Game production areas where the wily pheasant can be found in the fields of native grasses and row crops. There are also turkeys and deer that can be spotted from the banks of the Missouri throughout the hills and up to the fields. There is plenty of public ground for you to access for hiking, hunting, bird watching, or just to enjoy the beauty of God’s country!
A week at God's Country Campground
Mondays through Thursday are quieter with fishermen and locals stopping into the c-store for bait and refreshments. You can find some retired folks throughout the week along with the occasional family hanging out. Thursday evenings start to get busy with family’s coming in and getting ready for the weekend.

Friday and Saturday are the busiest times, with many families of children all ages playing and getting to know each other. Throughout the weekend you can find kids playing basketball or four square on the basketball court, while the younger kids play on the playground. Towards evening your mouth will be watering with the smell of smokers and grills making delicious meals to feed families and friends.

Sunday mornings at 10:30 we have a Christian gathering on the covered patio. Everyone is welcome from the campground, surrounding campgrounds, farms and towns! We worship with song, prayer and hear a message. Our desire is for everyone who attends to encounter God in the glory of His creation. Sunday afternoons and evening people head home to start their work week and get ready to come back the following weekend to start the fun again!
Our goal is to provide the best permanent camping experience around! From breath taking views of the beautiful Missouri River to the scenic river bluffs, there is always something beautiful to look at. We have a C-Store with the basics so you won’t have to waste your Saturday driving to town to grab that loaf of bread you forgot or to replace the hotdogs that got left on the grill too long. We also provide 4 family sized shower houses along with coin operated laundry and a safe room for when those crazy South Dakota thunder storms role through. We feature an Event Center attached to the C-Store that is available for anyone to rent for family events, weddings, business meetings, or group activities. Our covered patio attached to the Event Center has a fire pit to hang out by while the kids shoot hoops or play on the playground.
